The Accounting department is responsible for providing reliable financial information as a basis for financial and regulatory reporting. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting, the Accounting Analyst will be actively involved in the financial reporting process. In particular, he/she will prepare financial statements, corporate reports and regulatory reports for LBS. He/she will also improve the financial reporting and internal controls over financial reporting process.ResponsibilitiesºAssist in preparing regulatory reports (IIROC) and in monitoring related standards.ºAdvise and support internal clients in matters requiring technical expertise.ºDevelop and improve financial reporting processes.ºCalculate representatives' commissions on a monthly basis and ensure that all related items are kept up to date.ºProvide support for daily bank reconciliations and oversee monthly bank reconciliations.ºComplete accounting entries and analyses of General Ledger accounts.ºAssist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements with appropriate notes.ºCollaborate with external auditors during the audit process.ºEnsure follow-up on Immigrant Investor files.ºKeep knowledge updated on current accounting standards and on the Bank's policies, programs and procedures.QualificationsºCPA designationºFour to six years of accounting experience (experience in a brokerage firm is an asset) ºWritten and verbal communication skillsºFluent in English and French (spoken and written)ºAbility to work independently, take initiative, work in a team and manage deadlinesAdditional InformationWe welcome and encourage applications from individuals from all groups, including aboriginal, women, visible minorities, and persons with disabilities, regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, creed, family status, national origin, age and gender.
