  • A Synergistic Regulatory Approach for the Sustainable Management of Alberta’s Booming Oil & Gas, Agriculture and Forestry Industry, (Internship student project), West Country Oilfield Services, Alberta, Canada (2014).

PROJECT

  • As a Landscape Superintendent at Maui, Hawaii; managed 20 staff, designed, constructed and installed landscape projects to include bio-filtered water feature (living walls) with synchronized lighting system.
  • Using hand tools, manually excavated a 4ft x 5ft x 6ft sand pit and constructed graveled base (6 inches) irrigation well, four-sided retaining walls, roof, well pump, irrigation controller and pump relay for irrigation system.
  • Successfully outfitted/installed landscape projects ranging from one to seven acres for newly constructed mansions
    to include rock and water features, living walls, lawns, lighted planters, patios and lighting accessories.
 

LEADERSHIP SKILLS

  • As an Extension Officer for the Ministry of Agriculture, fostered communication to resolve complex quality assurance issues by working directly with rice millers, farmers, politicians and consumer representatives: reduced rice spoilage 80% and improved quality of rice crop in Guyana.
  • As a Purchasing Manager for a prestigious hospitality Club: introduced new accounting software for inventory control management, trained staff: reduced inventory by $2.5M and increased profits by 15%.
