Position: Receptionist, Bell Media

Number of positions: 2

Location: 80 Patina Rise SW, Calgary (Alberta)

Salary: Group 1 - Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Hours of Work: Part-Time; Monday to Friday (4-5 hours per day, 1 morning shift and 1 afternoon shift). Overtime as required.


The successful candidate(s) will be personable, reliable, enthusiastic, organized, professional and have well developed telephone and customer service skills. This front line position is the first contact for our station with clients, customers, viewers and guest. Responsibilities include:

  • Qualifying and directing all incoming calls to the appropriate area
  • Provide callers with accurate information regarding programming and station announcements
  • Greet and receive clients, on-air guests, visitors and some shipments
  • Sort & distribute departmental mail on a timely basis everyday
  • Perform various administrative duties for other areas in the station when asked
  • Other duties as assigned, including backup of other department functions


  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a detailed, responsible Administrative role, with the ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions
  • Must have the knowledge and experience with all office software; MS Word, Excel, Power Point / Intermediate level
  • Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Professional attitude and disposition with internal and external clients
  • Must have initiative and organizational skills, and be eager to learn, flexible, and willing to help co-workers where required
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to meet deadlines and prioritize
  • Ability to handle a fast pace environment
  • Broadcasting knowledge an asset but not necessary


Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
