Join our Housekeeping Team as the Assistant Housekeeping Manager, where you have the opportunity to learn and grow in a Relais & Chateaux property also recognized as an AAA 4-Diamond Resort and T&L World's Best Hotel.

Objectives:

    -Ensure efficient and personalized guest service meeting and exceeding Relais & Chateaux, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond and Forbes Standards
    -Assist the Housekeeping Manager with all Human Resource functions including but not limited to recruitment, training, development, scheduling, evaluations and performance management
    -Lead by example, assist the Housekeeping Manager in providing leadership, motivation, mentoring, coaching, and development of all Housekeeping team members
    -Support and assist the Housekeeping Manager as they are responsible and accountable for the actions of all Housekeeping Team Members
    -Work as a hands-on Manager, assisting the team as they strive to meet or exceed guests' expectations; including shift setup, planning and coordination of Housekeeping Supervisors and their teams, and assistance with the actual functions of the department when necessary
    -Conduct frequent room quality checks and other inspections to ensure departmental standards and health and safety regulations are being met
    -Be the contact person for all guests or staff who may require immediate assistance from the Housekeeping Leadership team, and/or follow up with guest or staff concerns as necessary
    -Be responsible for the overall cleanliness and physical condition of the Inn including guestrooms, public spaces, and service areas; in the particular Housekeeping Department work and storage areas
    -Participate in weekly & monthly inventories and ordering as necessary
    -Be involved in creation, implementation, and maintenance of all Housekeeping training materials
    -Involvement in the creation of the Inn's annual budget in relation to Housekeeping labour, equipment, and supplies
    -In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager, assume responsibility of the day to day operation of the Housekeeping Department, as well as involvement with the Management team of the Wickaninnish Inn to communicate Housekeeping information and to participate in the overall management of the Inn
    -Work with the Chief Engineer and Maintenance Team to ensure an efficient and smooth collaboration between the Maintenance and Housekeeping Departments
    -Complete administrative responsibilities required to maintain the smooth operation of the Housekeeping Department

Salary is $58000.00 per year. Staff accommodation is available. Wages may be increased due to annual salary reviews, provincial minimum wage changes or at the employer's discretion. 1 position available.
