Infrastructure Specialist (Hybrid)

We're looking for an Infrastructure Specialist to join out IT team! You will be responsible for the successful operation of the WAN/LAN infrastructure of Canon Canada. You will monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and evaluate hardware, software, and other network-related technology. You will also provide support for the data centre and telephony infrastructure, including voice gateways,SBCs, servers, wireless, virtualization, SAN, backup and restore systems.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Maintain and troubleshoot a production enterprise WAN/LAN infrastructure
  • Schedule, coordinate, and execute upgrades and improvements to the WAN/LAN/WLAN
  • Partner with the Systems Admin team to support the project work for the data centre environment, including VM Ware, Microsoft Windows, SAN, web servers, printing, backups, and scripting
  • Research, recommend, implement, and monitor improvements to existing LAN/WAN architecture and network management systems
  • Resolve escalated issues from the help desk
  • Develop and support project plans and manage the process
  • Complete Installations and configurations of Avaya Aura VOIP infrastructure
  • Conduct configuration of settings within Avaya Aura contact centre, and administer the end-user settings

What We're Looking For

  • Post-Secondary Education in Information Technology, or Networking
  • Cisco Certified Network Administrator certification is required
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional certification is considered an asset
  • 3-5 years of related work experience
  • Superb computer/technical skills to troubleshoot and resolve highly technical network issues and problems
  • Excellent analytical skills to resolve and troubleshoot system-wide enterprise problems
  • Strong project/process management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and balance projects and incoming technical issues
