POSITION:                           DATA ADMINISTRATOR
DEPARTMENT:                   Finance

STATUS:                               Permanent, Full-time
Reporting to the CFO, the Data Administrator is responsible for gathering, developing, entering, and maintaining product and customer data which includes product attributes and customer pricing. The incumbent of this role will provide support to the sales, customer service and marketing departments by maintaining and analyzing client’s data and trends (human capital, the tools used, and data being collected) that allows these departments to develop customized strategies for our currents and future clients. Additionally, this role will require in-depth knowledge of data management, internal sales, marketing, project management, and business processes.
  • Ensures company data is correct across Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, and communicating errors made by users in a friendly, helpful timely manner
  • Maintains sales and product data including availability, usability and integrity
  • Ensure that tools and software are up to date and supporting business and client’s needs
  • Manages the data housed within the Product Information Management Application 
  • Ensures pricing information and contracts are accurate and executed in full and on time in all systems and for all customers
  • Prepares, compiles, and sorts documents for price sheets
  • Enters pricing accurately into various databases, adhering to formatting and standardization requirements.
  • Obtains further information for incomplete price sheets
  • Scrubs price files within databases for errors in formatting, spelling, and standardization requirements.
  • Assists in the maintenance of S.O.P.’s as related to pricing and other database type projects
  • Prepares price books in excel and upload them into the ERP system
  • Works with other departments to resolve pricing discrepancies or issues related to the pricing DB
  • Continually seek out opportunities to eliminate inefficiencies and automate manual work
  • Support and/or coordinate strategic projects designed to improve sales performance and/or expand capabilities (e.g. CRM Implementation, Data integration)
  • Promotes safe work practices as outlined in the Worksafe B.C. regulations.
  • Ensures the Company’s quality policies and procedures are followed.
  • Participates in 1X1 meetings with the CFO

Job Requirements:

  • University degree or college diploma in business or information technology
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in data administration
  • Strong Excel, Power Query and SQL Query knowledge and experience
  • Exceptional knowledge of marketing and sales processes and workflows
  • Strong project management, training & support skills
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and work with senior level executives  
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid business acumen, management, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Effective time management, organization, and leadership skills
  • Previous experience with CRM systems is an asset
  • Must be able to work within tight deadlines and sustain high productivity levels
  • Proactive with the ability to work independently and as a team
  • Process oriented thinking with exceptional attention to detail
