Our client, a large oil and gas company, is currently seeking a Senior Technical Writer for a 1 year contract in Calgary, AB.
Description:
Core Responsibilities: This position will reside within the Operational Procedures (TOPS) Improvement Team. The team is tasked with updating existing standard, process, and procedure content to deliver streamlined, fit-for-purpose content to our end users. The technical writer will lead individual working groups through the process of analyzing, mapping, drafting, and publishing this content.
Required Competencies:
Demonstrated skill in drafting and editing technical content
Ability to analyze and streamline existing standards, processes, and procedures related to energy sector field operations
Ability to manage the work of multiple teams/documents areas concurrently
Comfortable working with Technical Subject Matter Experts
Effective facilitation, coordination, and conflict resolution skills for managing content discussions among large groups of stakeholders
Solid process improvement skills
