What we are looking for:

The Specialist, Learning & Development will partner with the Head of Leadership & Talent Development to develop and launch blended learning programs that will drive a learning & innovation culture.

You will be responsible for the delivery of innovative learning experiences (face-to-face and livestreaming) that are aligned with the business needs and support the talent pipeline of a high performance & agile workforce.

Your responsibilities :

  • Implement Learning & Development programs that are aligned with the business needs, including regulatory trainings;
  • In partnership with Talent Acquisition, create a learning strategy for onboarding programs;
  • Oversee the Learning Management System; improve the user experience and support the launch of effective training programs. (i.e. deploy new and existing course content, monitor completion rates, generate reports, liaise with provider etc.);
  • Monitor key performance indicators to measure the learning impact of all our initiatives;
  • Coordinate training initiatives: monitor costs, schedule classes, create training guides, etc.;
  • Update existing training materials (trainer's guides, eLearning, job aids etc.) to ensure accuracy and instructional integrity;
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Must have requirements to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Human resources, Educational Technology, or equivalent;
  • Facilitation and coaching certification(s) strongly desired;
  • Minimum of 5 years of Learning & Development within large organizations;
  • Instructional design experience;
  • Expert facilitator capable of consistently and effectively engaging a wide variety of audiences;
  • Experience operating Learning Management Systems and/or other training databases;
  • Strong training development and delivery background, including eLearning, face-to-face, virtual and self-directed learning;
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design and evaluation models to measure the performance and effectiveness of learning initiatives;
  • A passion for learning and performance improvement;
  • Detailed-oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking abilities;
  • Strong project management experience is an asset;
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) both in English and in French;
  • Self-driven and able to work autonomously and in a team;
  • Strong troubleshooting aptitude and demonstrates adaptability and flexibility;
  • High energy and ability to deal with stressful situations in a multi-disciplined work environment.
