Pathfind is working with one of Western Canada's leading construction companies to identify a Commercial Construction Project Manager based in Edmonton, AB. You will be responsible for the implementation to completion on all commercial projects, along with growing the revenue of the organization. While managing projects, you will ensure they are complete on time, safely and within budget according to the specified contract.
Specific Responsibilities:
Manage and organize daily operations, prepare construction schedules and monitor progress Responsible to complete projects on schedule and ensure project profitability Interpret and manage contractual obligations Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates, contracts, change orders, RFI's Prepare detailed job cost and accurate forecasting reports Build and maintain excellent direct relationships with Owners and associated trade contractors and suppliers Lead meetings with trade subcontractors and superintendents to discuss progress, obstacles, and solutions and hold the parties accountable for results Implement policies and procedures for quality control with a focus on continuous improvement Specific Requirements:
3 - 5 years experience in the commercial construction industry as a Project Manager Post-Secondary education in a relevant discipline Experience managing projects ranging from $5M to $15M Willingness to work on smaller than $5M projects, or multiple smaller projects Demonstrates knowledge of safety procedures and can implement them onsite Ability to read and interpret contract requirements A desire to mentor and grow junior team members Must be technologically inclined and have experience with relevant scheduling, planning and cost control software Pathfind is a full-service Talent Management firm, offering professional services in Executive Search, Leadership Coaching, and Career Transition/Outplacement.
