Hotel General Manager
The Inn on Long Lake, a 64 unit newly renovated hotel requires an extraordinarily efficient General Manager to attend to all aspects of the daily operations of this busy property located on the north shore of Long Lake in Nanaimo, British Columbia.

This position requires extraordinary hands-on management by an extremely hard-working, seasoned hospitality General Manager whose skill set must also include team building, rate management, food & beverage management, sales & marketing, human resources and guest relations.


1. Together with the Comptroller, preparation of the day-to-day, month-to-month and annual financials for the property.

2. Analysis of and subsequent reporting to the principals regarding the day-to-day, month-to-month and annual financials including budgeting and forecasting, cash flow projections together with presentation of recommendations for growth and development.

3. Administer all hotel policies and procedures including those related to banking, deposits, reconciliations, cash handling, credit cards, accounts payable and receivable, payroll and benefits, staffing etc.

4. Ensure the safety and protection of the hotel guests and staff.

5. Contract negotiations and implementation of all relevant services including any leases, food services, waste management, etc.

6. Daily yield and revenue management.

7. Daily management of all OTAs and social media sites.

8. All necessary sales & marketing tasks to ensure continued revenue growth.

9. Attend conferences, as necessary together with Chamber of Commerce and other local business association meetings as a representative of the hotel.
