POSITION OVERVIEW

The Manager, IT Support, Asset and Vendor Relationship Management, along with his/her team:

  • Maximize the value of our IT investments through better purchase decision and cost optimization

  • Provide accurate information on IT Assets and Contracts

  • Add value as IT experts in to maximize vendor relationship management

  • Ensure data integrity in IT asset and vendor information to improve decision making and cost management

  • Partner with procurement and IT leaders to follow vendor performance, negotiation, and risk management to get better predictability of costs & budgets

  • Ensure alignment between vendors and enterprise architecture roadmap

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

More specifically, the manager will oversee the following activities:

  • Build and follow controls to mitigate IT and TP risk management

  • Optimize investment (cost) and track assets/vendor performance

  • Manage IT asset obsolescence in collaboration with ITS

  • Contribute to manage technical debt and obsolescence

  • Contribute, with BRM's and the stakeholders, in business cases

  • Provide TCO estimates and benefits demonstration

  • Collaborate in contract negotiations and SLA follow-ups

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or another pertinent program

  • 10 years experience managing costs in an IT function or other equivalent combination of education and work experience, vendor management preferably

  • 3 years of experience in a leadership role

  • Experience in IT Asset and vendor management

  • Experience in financial analysis

  • Bilingual

  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills

  • Exceptional French and English written and verbal communication skills, including for the development and delivery of presentations

  • Comfortable dealing with and challenging senior stakeholders

  • Responsive, agile approach to manage changing priorities

  • Continuous improvement/learning mindset , challenging the status quo and seeking self improvement

  • Acuity for perceiving and understanding client/stakeholder needs

  • Ability to manage a team efficiently with demonstrated experience and comfort in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

  • Strong planning, coordinating, organizing and implementation skills

  • Proven record in applying judgment in creating and sustaining a sense of urgency in anticipating and/or preventing impacts to business operations

  • Ability to prioritize, meet targets, escalate when necessary, and work in a multicultural, bilingual and dynamic environment
