POSITION OVERVIEW

The Advisor, Learning is responsible for learning and development offerings at BDC. The Advisor, Learning will lead the end-to-end process for small to medium sized learning projects, including needs analysis, design, development (if required), implementation in BDC's Learning Management System and measurement.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

  • Form strong partnerships with business partners to assess the needs and skill gaps and recommend solutions for small to medium sized Learning projects.

  • Interact with subject matter experts and leaders to design learning solutions leveraging the 3Es (Experience, Exposure and Education).

  • Manage projects: draft a project summary, identify, and mitigate key risks, communicate with stakeholders, plan deployment. Ensure sound time and budget management and supervise deployment until completion.

  • Manage Request for Quotes/Request for Proposals with external vendors in collaboration with Procurement (RFQ/RFP specs, vendor proposal analysis and recommendations).

  • Administration and management of the Learning Management System (interface, catalog, assignments, deployment, upload content, testing courses, communications, reports and regular maintenance).

  • Maintain an overview of the Learning projects that have been deployed and coordinate continuous maintenance by conducting an annual review to ensure the integrity and the updating of content.

  • Analyze data and provide insight on the impact of learning programs and learning content.

  • Host live virtual training as the technical support resource as required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Adult Education or another relevant field is an asset.

  • Three or more years of experience in a learning function in a corporate setting

  • Strong desire to learn and develop themselves and others

  • Excellent organizational, administrative and prioritization skills, and solid work ethic
