  • Qualify and assess potential opportunities and clients
  • Communicate the company's competitive advantages to key potential and existing clients and employees
  • Lead project pursuits, join ventures and partnering efforts to win projects
  • The ability to provide senior leadership oversight and advice, steadily leading client programs and projects to successful completion by representing the clients' best interests at all times, particularly with respect to contractual and technical issues, risk assessment and mitigation, change management, and cost and schedule management
  • Effective leadership, motivation and inspiration of the Central Canada Infrastructure Services Team with a focus on recruitment collaboration and project allocation
  • Formation of strong cross-functional partnerships with both the Senior Regional Vice President and individual Business Unit Vice-Presidents in a matrix environment
  • A university degree in engineering or comparable education
  • Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience representing the owner's interests on horizontal infrastructure and large civil projects or programs
  • An established network of influential industry contacts and relationships within the region as well as involvement with applicable regional and national industry and trade associations
  • Previous experience in leadership positions, managing and mentoring teams and ensuring departmental objectives are met or exceeded
  • Strong ability to build, lead and motivate a team in a matrix environment
  • Working knowledge and experience regarding utilities, water and wastewater conveyance and treatment, transportation infrastructure, transit systems, bridges and other heavy civil structures, major land development and other horizontal infrastructure projects
  • A high level of competency with respect to financial management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation and presentation skills including a proven ability to write winning proposals and win competitive interviews
  • Exceptional negotiation skill and influence ability
