Job Purpose:
Fabricates components by analyzing requirements; collecting materials; operating equipment.

Duties:
• Identification, sourcing, and preparation sheet steel for shearing, punching and pressing
• Layout, setup and operation of various pieces of fabrication shear and punching equipment
• Construction of jigs, dies and tooling to facilitate completion of projects
• Good knowledge of saws, mills, routers and drill presses
• Knowledge of Pierce-All Punch and MVD 10' Shear a plus
• Moving work pieces, tools, and supplies, manually or by hand truck
• Fabricate, rework and repair of tools, parts and assemblies
• Provide design and engineering suggestions to facilitate completion of projects
• As directed, assist any employee in any job classification in the performance of their duties
• Perform any other activity as directed, including movement, packaging, protection and crating of material, product and any manufacturing related items and operation of material handling equipment.
• Documents actions by completing records.
• Maintains safe work environment by following and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
