Job Overview:

The Service writer is the primary liaison between our customers, and the Service Department. The Service Advisor is responsible for assisting customers with their vehicle repairs and service requirements, and for ensuring the customer's satisfaction with their vehicles and the dealership.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Interact with customers in order to obtain service and repair-request information, and clarify description of symptom & mechanical problems.

Work closely with technicians to relay information to the customer, provide estimate

Prepares Repair Orders in the Service department's database system.

Create estimates of cost and time needed to do the repairs, and obtain customer's approval of estimates.

Verify warranty coverage by examining vehicle records and manufacturer's database systems. Explain warranty provisions and exclusions to customers.

Verify customer account status and methods of payments.

Periodically check on the progress of the vehicle during servicing and contacts the customer when technicians discover additional problems; Obtain customer approval to do additional work and explains the work performed and the charges being billed.

Carry out after sales follow ups to build and maintain positive relationships
