About the role
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity available in Edmonton, AB. With our Legal Claims team, you'll be at the heart of what we do best: helping people. Here, your passion for the law, stellar admin and organizational skills, strong values, and creative thinking, will be a great fit with the team.
What you'll do here: - Thrive in a paperless environment - set up new files in our online system, draft correspondence, court documents, briefing files and close files
- Schedule examinations for discovery, examinations under oath, mediations, meetings, and various hearings at Court
- Maintain the calendar for Legal Counsel, supervise their practice and ensure deadlines are met
- Use your superb admin skills, impressive communication style, sound judgement and passion for the law to innovate processes for the team
Qualifications

- You deliver quality work with a quick turnaround because you prioritize, take initiative and stay organized

The ideal candidate has: - College diploma from either a legal office administration or paralegal program
- Proven litigation experience
- Working knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure and LAT procedures
- Proven knowledge of Loss Transfer and Priority Dispute procedures
- Strong document management skills
- Stellar attention to detail and proofreading skills
- Exceptional communication, listening, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
