Waste Connections of Canada has an immediate opening for a Light Equipment Operator/DZ Driver to join our team at the Ridge Landfill in Blenheim, ON. We are looking for a SAFETY inclined, energetic, autonomous and proactive team player capable of making a difference in his/her team and community.

As a Light Equipment Operator/DZ Driver you will responsible for safely operating various equipment, including articulated water trucks, loader backhoe and sweeper; but have the primary purpose of operating a skid steer in helping with equipment maintenance and cleaning. You may also be responsible for including routine inspection and maintenance of equipment as well as operating a roll-off truck on occasions.

Shift timing: Monday to Friday 6:20 am to 5:00 pm, may be required to work some Saturdays

Hourly rate: $22.70 per hour

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of Equipment Operator or related experience
• Excellent customer service skills
• DZ License (Asset)
• Must have a valid drivers license (G license)
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment tests
