Participate and assist with kitchen administration duties such as ordering, receiving, inventory and scheduling. Full responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the Chef, including staff supervision. Preparing sandwiches, salads, soups, vegetables and main entrees. Setting up the buffet, labelling, dating and putting away prepared foods. Assisting with meal service, cleaning and other site-specific duties as assigned.
Note: Payrate for this position is $20/Hour.
Experience/Education Preferences:
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal is required
- Food Safety Tickets
- Experience with cooking and baking is required
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen is required
Other Requirements:
- Ability to read and follow standard recipes
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with seniors in a respectful manner
- Basic Computer skills
