Responsibilities The Field Specialist - Fishing is responsible for job assignment and oversees and coordinates the efforts of onsite intervention and re-entry operations. This position will assess the needs of customers and make recommendations involving appropriate solutions and operating parameters within given job scope. The role will have responsibility for communication between the customer and base of operations in preparation and utilization of equipment to the goal of the client's established objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Communicate operational deficiencies that can be detrimental for the company to direct manager.
- Participate in maintaining and completing the job resume entries for equipment and material as related to job processes.
- Reponsible for the completion of Job Report requirements as spelled by product line management the customer (WPTS, end of well reports/job resumes/tool load outs/pre-plans).
- Responsible for reviewing equipment load outs shipped to rigs and ensure equipment readiness checks.
- Assist direct manager in conducting parts/tools inventory for job specific requirements.
- Regularly observe equipment operating parameters.
- Actively participate in equipment and process familiarization.
- Maintain knowledge and working practice of all Weatherford policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in on the job training.
- Identify opportunities to improve production and reduce risk in all operational aspects.
- Complete all training and competencies as assigned by product line.
- Assist in training junior operators as required.
- To know and understand all the standard equipment and/or source all the required technical information for the job on a per job basis.
- To know all the standard tool strengths, limitations and/or locate information as required.
- Make certain that all equipment is functional, loaded and secured properly prior to departure.
- To reconfirm with the customer what services are required upon arrival.
- To liaise with the customer regarding pertinent information on well conditions.
- To do a detailed documented pre-job hazard assessment on all tasks with required personnel.
- To follow and adhere to all Weatherford and customer requirements.
- To inform the customer of any unsafe, detrimental requests that could impact service quality.
- Provides a prominent role model in QHSSE and aligns actions with QHSSE goals and policies.
- Actively promotes a Weatherford culture in the area and supports all area initiatives and teams.
- Maintain open, professional communications with all crew members and company representatives.
Qualifications - GED/High School Diploma.
- 10+ years of related experience.
- Valid drivers license and clean Driving Abstract.
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and individually.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Must have strong organisational skills with an ability to multitask in high pressure situations.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills as the first point of contact between customer, field personnal and operations.
- Must be able to travel on short notice and work in remote areas as required.
- Must possess strong leadership abilities.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with an ability to understand well bore conditions, dissect information and offer logical and relevant solutions to complex equipment and/or downhole problems.
- Must have a good knowledge and understanding of rig operations.
- Advanced understanding of downhole operations and equipment for Completions, Wireline Operations, horizontal and directional drilling assemblies.
- Ability to review and understand well bore diagrams and and tool dimensional drawings.
- Advanced knowledge of Cased and Open Hole Fishing Tools, Casing Exit equipment and the safe operational limitations of the equipment and tools being run.
- Excellent record keeping abilities including job reports and daily job costs through the entire span of the job from job planning to execution and post job reviews.
- Actively participate in the job planning process.
- Must possess tool knowledge and an ability to execute minor repairs and maintenance on Fishing equipment in the field if required.
- Basic knowledge of computers and computer programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Weatherford proprietary programs such as WPTS, EmployeeConnect/Learning, Kahuna, Jar Calculator, Accuset, WISE, MyAdvisor.
