Speedy Transport is an LTL carrier specializing in Canada to USA transportation and logistics for Canada, USA, Ontario, Quebec and North America. Founded in 1941 as a local, same-day parcel pick-up and delivery service, Speedy Transport has grown to be one of central Canada's premier carriers.

Position Summary:

The primary responsiblity of this position is to perform responsible office support duties which involve handling all aspects of OS&D's .

Position Responsibilities:

• Sort, scan & file all OS&D exception problems
• Investigate all OS&D's
• Completion of daily dock check (electronic & written)
• Working the 'All short' report daily
• Problem solving
• Work closely with customer care, dispatch, operations and other terminals to ensure timely movement of freight
• Extensive contact and interaction with the public in situations requiring problem resolution, and duties which relate specifically to Customer concerns
• Research and follow-up on customer problems and respond to questions
• Obtain information from the customer to perform a requested task
• Act in a pro-active manner in order to fix customer problems when they arise and suggest and implement procedure to prevent them from happening in the future

Position Qualifications:

• Basic computer skills
• Organizational skills
• Be able to multi task
• Excellent written, communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures, including filing methods and the operation of modern office equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment while meeting deadlines caused by a high volume of work
• Ability to multitask
• Work independently or as part of a team with the ability to make sound judgments within established guidelines
• Research information and solve customer service problems
• Ability to interact tactfully and effectively with customers, and drivers occasionally in situations where relationships may be strained
