The recruitment team at Myticas Consulting is looking for an experienced Virtualization Engineer who would be interested in a contract opportunity offered within the Ottawa, ON region.

Security Clearance Required: Secret.

Scope:

Team providing an integrated solution in order to replace the existing server/storage solution at each mission internationally.

The project will automate the deployment of the new solution to provide a secure repeatable solution.

Qualifications:

• Min 5 years' experience with VMware technology: vSphere, vSAN


• Min 2 years' experience with VxRail technology


• Min 5 years' experience with Enterprise network concepts, specifically routing and switching


• Min 5 years' experience with Enterprise Security concepts


• Architected and deployed large VMware solutions (150+ hosts)


• Demonstrated scripting experience in PowerShell however any other programming language such as Python, Java, C++


• Windows Server operating systems : 2012/R2, 2016 and 2019


• Windows Server Infrastructure and Services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP


• Linux operating system experience


• Enterprise server hardware experience, (Dell & HPE)


• Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills

The project will provide a fully integrated solutions and will entail the following tasks:

• Inventory and asset tagging


• Coordination with the vendor and Global Affairs Canada


• Design decisions for international deployment methods


• Rack and stack of equipment


• Burn in testing of equipment


• Developing an automated deployment platform


• Deployment and configuration (HCI clusters)


• Documentation
