The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing the most important documents at Q4, the financial statements.
Responsibilities:
  • You'll be responsible for accuracy in our financial reporting, checking our balances, reconciling accounts, and investigating any variances.
  • Responsible for identifying and developing critical process improvements to help Q4 scale our reporting and financial operations
  • Through your flux analysis you'll provide key insights to stakeholders that summarizes and tells the "story" to help make important decisions as we grow
  • Be a key team member in the preparation of annual consolidated and statutory audit, investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance
  • Assist with federal, state, local, and special tax returns
  • Advise, develop or amend accounting systems, policies, and procedures
  • Support overall department goals and objectives
  • Support and mentor junior staff as required
  • Contribute to the building, preparation and presentation of monthly internal and external reporting packages including monthly Financial Statements and analysis
  • Create a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual for accounting policy and regulations, and roll out reconciliation procedures
Requirements:
  • 5+ years public company industry accounting experience, or public accounting, or combination of both preferred
  • Completed or working toward a CPA
  • Experience with full cycle accounting and Financial Reporting practices
  • Experience with preparing month end reporting including account reconciliations
  • Experience working with international subsidiaries, including statutory reporting requirements, strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS principles and financial statement preparation
  • Intermediate/Advanced experience with Excel and/or Google Sheets (Vlookups, nested formula functions, Pivot Tables, Charts)
  • Previous experience in a SaaS or Subscription-based organization, and with Netsuite is an asset
  • Confidence to embrace new ways of doing things, including automating functions, finding scalable solutions and driving continuous improvement
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
