Senior Software Engineer | Waterloo, Ontario (Remote) | $150K (CAD)

Job Description:

Our client is a rapidly-growing AWS ISV Partner, looking to bring on an experienced Principal/Senior Software Engineer with strong architecture, containerization and infrastructure design background. This position is a leading role on their growing Engineering team and handles a range of software engineering requirements including leading a fully automated cloud infrastructure environment from the provisioning, deployment, management, and oversight of a highly scalable set of SaaS services.

Job Requirements:

• Excellent understanding of AWS tools/services - AWS Lambda serverless, EC2, S3, VPC, RDS


• 8+ years as a Lead, Senior or Principal software engineer, extremely hands-on with programming / development.


• Design and implement Complex backend containerized and serverless microservices on AWS while leveraging AWS Lambda and Docker Containers.


• ML, AI, Data Science, or any AWS IoT experience is highly preferred.


• High-volume data management, designing ETL pipelines and backend data frameworks


• Architect and implement high volume/ high frequency data loading and transformation processes using ETL methods.


• Docker, Kubernetes containerization experience is required.


• Languages: Java, Javascript (required)


• Experience working for another AWS ISV Partner or SaaS-based company - nice to have.
