About the Role

Position: Flatbed Owner Operator

Type: Full-time

Location: Brampton, ON

Position Details

Flatbed Owner Operator to run inter-Canada and Canada/US lanes
Mainly customer-to-customer pick-up and delivery (very limited terminal deliveries/pickups)
Your Skills & Experience
Complete knowledge and understanding of securing a flatbed trailer
Accurate and timely e-log maintenance
Pre-trip inspection of tractor trailer for all trips
Customer service focusedExcellent driving skills with a focus on attentive and defensive driving
Must have a safety-first mindset and be self-motivated

Our Requirements:

Minimum 12 months verifiable flatbed experience (driving, strapping, tarping, securement, etc.)
Possess heavy vehicle driver license (Class AZ license)
Possess a FAST card or proof of application
Provide required equipment list (e.g. approved straps, tarps, etc.)
Must be able to communication in English - written and verbal
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Satisfactory criminal record check (not older than three months)
Report any incidents of safety violation or security breaches
At least one season winter driving experience
Successful completion of a DOT drug test
Successful completion of practical evaluation of Cargo Securement
Road test by a Day & Ross approved third-party driving school
Satisfactory driver's abstract (not older than 30 days), including no DUI violations in the past five years; no over-the-road preventable accidents (yard accidents will be reviewed); not more than two moving violations in the past two years; no defensive driving infractions as outlined in onboarding document
